I accept that point. But overall I think we have to stop thinking that absolutely everything a person says is untrue, because one of the things they said turned out untrue. Many of the author’s other statements have turned out to be 100% true. If you want to discredit a person based on a single statement, I consider that lazy “party-line” thinking. I know it takes more effort to parse individual statements. But don’t you think we’re at a point where it might be worth expending that effort?
